About Peggy

Peggy Dyke feels Blessed to have grown up in the Northwest on her family'sPeggy & Dan Dyke farm. Peggy had the advantage to experience daily living with horses and cattle,as well as the wildlife about.

Peggy began drawing at an early age and later studied under several different art instructors. Peggy emerged as an art teacher 20 some years ago and has enjoyed helping people find their hidden talents.  Peggy offers workshops each year at Painter's Corner in Republic, MO and West Pueblo,CO.  She can be contacted to hold classes for drawing or painting in your area.

Peggy may also be commissioned to paint your murrals.  LARGE, BOLD and BEAUTIFUL!

Peggy enjoys painting on non-typical materials such as large wall murals, leather, rock paintings, or even shower curtains.She specializes in commission work of one's favorite pet or animal.

Using the usual canvas to depict a painting, Peggy has also painted on leather jackets and leather chairs for customers. Wall murals are another favorite commission of hers.Animals and western themes are Peggy's favorite subjects.

Her lifestyle of being a part of ranch life and the outdoors gives her ample ideas to capture in some form of art media.Her husband,Dan has been her best critic and adviser for capturing the real look of the subject they work with and see daily.

Peggy has done several portraits of local horsemen and ranchers.

Small classes are offered in her home studio and she travels to other locations to hold art classes.  This will be the 6th year for her 4 day oil painting seminar in West Pueblo, CO., Sept 19th thru the 22nd, 2013.
